The brand new Canon 70D Digital Cameras is finally available for shipment throughout the world.
What has excited the market with the announcement of the Canon 70D DSLR is that it incorporates new features. The new innovative autofocus system is not just new for Canon DSLRs but for the whole camera industry . The Dual Pixel CMOS AF system promises to change the way you shoot both movies and photographs.
The 20.2-megapixel APS-C-type CMOS chip has been designed to accommodate on-chip phase detection. To date, on-chip phase detect systems have provided but a few focus points scattered across the surface of the sensor but with the Canon 70D, a full two-thirds of its surface area at the center of the frame can provide phase-detect Auto Focus (AF) and at every single pixel. This is great news particularly for those using the 7D’s HD video capabilities. More about this technology can be found at Canon.com.
