Features of Canon 5D Mark 3
Full-frame 22.3-megapixel sensor

Uses both Compact Flash & SD Cards – detailed compatibility of Canon 5D Mark III Memory Cards
High-quality performance, even in low light
The EOS 5D Mark III delivers superb picture quality whatever the lighting conditions. Keep shooting hand-held even after the sun goes down, thanks to an ISO 100–25,600 sensitivity range (extendable to ISO 102,400).
61-point wide-area autofocus
Focus quickly and accurately, even on off-centre subjects, with a 61 point wide-area autofocus system. 41 cross-type points (five of which are extra sensitive double-cross type) ensure highly accurate tracking of moving objects.
High-speed continuous shooting
Keep up with the action at 6fps, recording up to 16,270 continuous JPEG images to a UDMA mode 7 card in a single burst.
High dynamic range imaging
Preserve detail in highlight and shadow areas with in-camera HDR image creation.
Full-HD video with manual control
Enjoy high quality Full HD video at 1080p resolution. Use manual controls and Canon’s comprehensive EF lens range to achieve cinematic visual effects.
Great quality sound
Give your video footage the soundtrack it deserves. The EOS 5D Mark III records digital stereo sound at 48KHz and offers manual control over audio level. A standard 3.5mm mic socket enables the use of third-party microphones; a headphone socket permits audio monitoring while recording.
In-camera editing functions
Begin your digital editing workflow before you arrive back home. Rate your images on a scale of one to five and compare two images simultaneously on screen. Use in-camera Raw processing to explore creative possibilities – such as black & white conversion and retrospective white balance.
Built to go anywhere
A magnesium chassis provides strength and durability without adding weight. Weather sealing offers protection against dust and moisture.
Why Buy the Canon 5D Mark III DSLR Camera
Canon 5D Mark III User Reviews*
Best in Class I recently purchased the 5DIII, 24-70mm, 70-200mm, and 100-400mm camera and lenses. For me this was a long awaited purchase coming from the T3i. I could not be any happier!!! I shoot in all formats from night photography to sporting events and the quality of these lenses and camera are second to none. My photos have increased in quality, clarity and the ability to capture that special moment is excellent!! I am looking forward to many YEARS with this equipment and the qaulity of CANON!!! Awesome Camera After using my 70D for a year and looking for a second camera, I decided to go full frame with the 5Diii. In principle because of lower noise at higher ISO. The 5Diii has exceeded my expectations, especially in low light conditions such a photographing concerts with high ISO settings. Focus is very fast, and I recommend the battery grip for extended time of camera use though adds to the bulk and weight, but worth it. My main cons are the poor/slow AF in live view and absence of touch-tilt LCD screen. The 70D will remain my GoTo video DSLR, which it was well designed. (Feb 2015)
Great camera. Takes very high quality images . I’m very happy with this camera. This is my 3rd Canon after an AE-1 program and an EOS 1 Ds. The menu is very intuitive and very easy to learn to use. (Apr 2015)
5D Mark III is GREAT! I upgraded from Canon 7D to full frame Canon 5D Mark III and I am happy to say that the photos are fantastic. I loved the 7 D, but this was a seriously great upgrade for me! (Apr 2015)
