Canon EF 11-24 mm f/4 L series USM Lens
The Canon EF 11-24 mm f/4 L USM provides the ultimate in wide angle photography. With an expansive wide angle range of 11-24 mm, this is a perfect lens for landscapes, interiors, and unique perspectives on subjects. Its new optical design features Super UD and UD lenses to correct chromatic aberration. Contained in this Canon L series lens are four aspheric lens elements that help to reduce distortion from the center of the image, to the periphery and throughout its full zoom range. A Subwavelength Coating (SWC) and Air Sphere Coating (ASC) minimize flare and ghosting, whilst a 9-blade circular aperture diaphragm creates wonderful, blurred backgrounds. For silent and fast Autofocus, it incorporates a rear focus system and ring USM, and can be focused manually even when in AF mode. Its minimum focusing distance is 11 in./0.28m (extreme telephoto).

Reviews of Canon EF 11-24 mm f/4 Lens
I don’t want competitors top have it This lens is easy to use and delivers stunning Super Ultra Wide Shots. I’m a pro real estate photographer and a lens like this is an advantage in many ways. First it’s actually easier to frame with at 11mm than my 2.8 16-35 L. Second, it allows me to be very creative with shots that you can’t accomplish with a 16mm lens. Third, it focus’s quickly and accuratly and has surprisingly little chromatic aberration from hot contrast spots like windows against a window frame with bright light coming thru. Fourth, I love how stable it feels in your hands because of it’s size and weight. For me, it’s a home run. (Apr 2015)
A real weapon of massive creation This lens surpasses my initial expectancies, after take a proof with the Sigma 12-24 f/4.5, (a nice lens and a pioneer on ultra wide angle lens), but this canon offer a professional lens, very sharp, great colors, very straight lines, incredible less distortion than my initial expectations for this new wide limit, is a great, great lens, a dream come true, is heavy but not so much as to be worried about it, is a polycarbonate body of less weight because that (I would miss a heavy metal body as the 80’s lenses), the frontal cap is short, but is very sure, is an special lens to a new world of possibilities , a new tool for creativity, for architecture, inner tiny spaces, for scientific purposes, great, great lens I´m really happy, perhaps a little pricey, but it deserves this price, if you buy from overseas as me, you must be careful with your countries custom fees, taxes and all this extra charges, on my country I paid over USD$1290.00 more!!! (sometimes we must to use an forwarding agent, and of this services cost a lot) even so, it deserves each penny of investment. Thank you Canon, Thank You B&H (really fast, fast shipping) USD[$] is a bargain in compartion of many other sites (some over USD[$]!!!!), if you pick up personally you must to paid the local taxes, internet is a good option, but visit the B&H store on New York is like to visit a monument to photography, it’s a ride!! One of the all-time great lenses Picked up the 11-24 at the Post Office; took few shots of the steering wheel; and drove right into the Talkeetna mountains. Having used fisheyes for year I thought I would know what to do with an 11mm rectilinear…but this lens is different. My instant favorite lens for off-trail Alaska landscapes. Image quality and sharpness are excellent. Distortion is very low. Makes incredible panoramas that don’t look stretched out. Heavy…but it’s also a 20, 17, 14,13 and 12mm! Once in my hands weight doesn’t matter! Use the 11mm most but love the zoom! (Apr 2015)
